How to Become a CHA Member
The California Hamster Association does all communication through our website and group e-mails.  We do little if any correspondence by U.S. Mail.  Our newsletter is entirely online, and all articles are available to anyone -- member or not.  Our event calendar and all show results are also on line and linked from the club home page.

Those who are not local and will not attend shows may still receive our group e-mails at no cost.  They generally highlight new articles or show results added to our website and include reminders of shows, activities, deadlines, etc.  To be added to the group e-mail list without joining the club, please send an e-mail to asking to be added to the CHA group e-mail list.  No information beyond your e-mail address is needed.  We generally send 3-5 e-mails a month, and all addresses are hidden.  We do not sell your address nor do we use it for any purpose other than hamster communication.

For those who wish to become active in club shows and activities, our club membership is $10. With this membership, you will receive the following benefits:

1. You will receive all group e-mails.
2. Your entry fees for the shows will be reduced.
3. You will receive our flyers, your membership card, etc. at your first show.
4. You will be entitled to sell hamsters at the shows.
Note: You will probably not receive any correspondence by US Mail.  We do virtually all communication by e-mail.

CHA wants to make as much information available to hamster owners as possible and puts all newsletter articles on-line for maximum access. Anyone interested in submitting an article should first submit the topic to see if anyone else is already working on that topic. Once the topic is approved, you can submit the article for review by one or more of our members.
